Reaching the Heart of Dhodani: A Step Towards Positive Change by Sahyog Charitable Trust
In the deep interiors of Panvel Taluka lies Dhodani, a tribal rural village marked by natural beauty and simplicity but also struggling with long-standing social and developmental challenges. On a recent visit, Sahyog Charitable Trust took an important step toward understanding and addressing the real needs of this community.
Leading the initiative was Mr. Vishwakant Lokre, Chairman of Sahyog Charitable Trust, accompanied by Mr. Manik Pandit, the Chief Advisor of the organization. Their purpose was clear: to gain firsthand insights into the day-to-day issues faced by the people of Dhodani – especially in the areas of education, healthcare, basic infrastructure, and overall development.

During the field visit, the team engaged in meaningful conversations with the villagers, listening intently to their struggles, aspirations, and expectations. A special meeting was also held with Mr. Sitaram Chaudhary, the Sarpanch of the village, who shared detailed information on the current situation and urgent needs of the community. As a token of goodwill, the team extended festive greetings to the Sarpanch, strengthening the trust and bond between the organization and the village leadership.
The interaction wasn’t just ceremonial – it was purposeful. The team conducted a comprehensive assessment of the village’s pressing requirements, which include improved educational resources, better access to healthcare, drinking water facilities, and support for livelihood development.
